The fact we got this news during our 10th year in business adds a little extra pride to the occasion.
To think it was just me and my wife those first days. We spent so many long days and even longer nights building this company from the ground up.
But you know what? It was worth it.
Here we are, one short decade later, a growing force in the competitive extended warranty industry.
And it’s the support of our valued customer base and the mountain-moving talents of our nine-person team that have made this achievement possible.
How We Became One of the Fastest Growing B2B Software Companies in St. Louis
Our company needed to meet some pretty strict criteria for consideration:
- Increased sales in each of the past three fiscal years
- Generated revenue of more than $1 million in the 2018 fiscal year
- Be an independent, privately-held, locally-based St. Louis business (not a subsidiary, division or franchise)
Since St. Louis has a reputation as a Midwest technological hub, and since there’s no shortage of successful businesses in the region, we knew the competition would be fierce.
But then I thought about all we’ve accomplished during the last decade… and I liked our odds.
When Inline Data Systems started in 2011, we had two customers. Now, we have 55. That’s an increase of 27,500%!
Over the last 10 years, we’ve kept improving and adding to our extended warranty CRM:

- Google Maps integration
- Zillow integration for extended home warranty policies
- Policy cancellation automation
- Built-in Scripting
- Automated commission calculation and easy commission processing
- Practically infinite reporting capabilities
Taken together, we’ve increased our revenue by more than 100% year over year. And we’re investing that money right back into even more improvements.
No one can predict the future, but in the next 10 years I see the industry sharpening its focus on the customer experience with an extra emphasis on online selling.
I’d like to think Inline’s CRM is positioned as the technological leader in our space.
But I know we’ll keep working to stay on top of the technology wants and needs of our clients.
